This cocktail is part of the neoclassical family. It was created in the 1980s at Tommy's Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco by Julio Bermejo.
INGREDIENTS Prepare in a shaker and serve in an old fashioned glass.
1.5 oz (40 ml) white Tequila
1 oz (30 ml) lime juice
0.5 oz (15 ml) agave syrup
Decoration: lime wedge
METHOD OF PREPARATION
Pour all ingredients into a shaker
Stir (at least 10 seconds)
Strain and pour into an old fashioned glass filled with ice.
Place a lime wedge on the rim of your glass
PRO TIP Make your own homemade agave syrup by simply adding 1/5 boiling water to 4/5 agave syrup to make it more fluid. This will allow for better dissolution in the shaker and prevent the product from sticking to your measure.
