Le Dry Martinez

The Dry Martinez

Alexis Taoufiq
This cocktail is a derivative of the famous Dry Martini that I wanted to make more accessible and delicate thanks to a touch of Benedictine, a herbal liqueur made in the North of France and a little red vermouth.
INGREDIENTS
In a mixing glass served in a coupette.
  • 1.5 oz (40 ml) gin
  • 0.25 oz (10 ml) red vermouth
  • 0.25 oz (10 ml) dry vermouth
  • 1 teaspoon of Benedictine
Decoration: a squeeze of lemon zest

METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Add ice to your coupette to cool it
  • Add all ingredients to your mixing glass
  • Fill your mixing glass with ice
  • Stir for at least 7 seconds
  • Remove the ice from the glass
  • Strain using a julep strainer into the glass
  • Express and add a lemon zest to the cocktail
