The Paloma
This classic cocktail is a lighter version of Tommy's Margarita with a hint of bitterness from the grapefruit notes.
INGREDIENTS
Shake and serve in a Collins glass.
- 2 oz (60 ml) White Tequila
- 1 oz (30 ml) grapefruit juice
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) lime juice
- 0.25 oz (10 ml) agave syrup
- Grapefruit soda (or regular soda if you don't have any on hand)
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- In a shaker, add all the ingredients except the soda
- Make the salt rim on your glass then fill it with ice
- Shake the cocktail for at least 7 seconds
- Pour the mixture into your glass
- Top with grapefruit soda
- Add the grapefruit slice.
PRO TIP
In the last step of making the cocktail, instead of adding the soda directly to your glass, you can add it to your shaker and then pour it into your glass. This way you will recover the last aromas that were in your shaker.
